these terms are the agreement between you and Wistkey UK Limited for using acespeak. by creating an account or using the app, you agree to them. please read them alongside our privacy policy.

who we are

acespeak ("the app") is provided by Wistkey UK Limited ("we", "us"). you can reach us at hello@acespeak.uk.

eligibility

you must be at least 13 years old to use acespeak. by using the app you confirm you meet this age requirement and that the details you give us are accurate.

what acespeak does

acespeak records or accepts a short video of you and produces an automated score and feedback on your delivery across five dimensions. scores and feedback are practice guidance only — they are estimates generated by software, not a professional assessment, and we don't guarantee any particular outcome in a real interview or presentation.

your account

you're responsible for keeping your login details secure and for activity under your account. tell us promptly at hello@acespeak.uk if you think your account has been compromised.

acceptable use

• only upload recordings of yourself, or of people who have agreed to be recorded and scored. do not upload footage of anyone without their consent.
• don't upload unlawful, harmful, hateful or infringing content.
• don't attempt to break, overload, reverse-engineer or misuse the app or its scoring.

we may suspend or remove accounts that break these rules.

your content

you keep ownership of the recordings you upload. you grant us a limited licence to store and process them solely to provide the service to you — that is, to generate your scores, feedback and history. we describe how we handle this data in our privacy policy.

subscriptions & payments

some features require a paid subscription ("pro"). purchases are made and billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play, subject to their terms.

• subscriptions renew automatically for the same period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends.
• manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple or Google account settings.
• refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their policies; consumers in the UK and elsewhere keep any statutory rights that apply.

referrals

when you invite a friend with your referral code and they sign up, both of you may receive a free period of pro, as described in the app. we may change or end the referral program, or withdraw rewards obtained through abuse or fake accounts.

disclaimers

the app is provided "as is". to the extent the law allows, we don't warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that scores will be accurate for every clip.

limitation of liability

nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law (including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud). subject to that, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

ending your use

you can stop using acespeak and delete your account at any time. we may suspend or end your access if you breach these terms or where we stop offering the service.

governing law

these terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and disputes are subject to the courts of England and Wales. if you are a consumer, you may also be entitled to the protections of the mandatory laws of the country where you live.

changes

we may update these terms from time to time. we'll update the "last updated" date and, for significant changes, let you know in the app. continuing to use acespeak after a change means you accept the updated terms.
